Summer is a great time to sell your house because you have the advantage of showing off the beauty of the exterior & landscape. Finding the flawless beauty of your exterior is easily accomplished with very little investment.
Mowing your lawn more frequently, edging around planting beds and sidewalks, trimming the bushes, and keeping things weed free will all pay off in the long run.
A beautiful well cared for exterior will show well online as well as in person. Color is important for appeal. If you don’t have many in ground plants, use pots with colorful flowers to brighten up the exterior.
A new brightly colored door will also attract buyers. Clean windows and house numbers that are visible from the street view are important when improving the look of the exterior. Also, any cracks in the driveway or pavers should be repaired.
As we move to the backyard, this space can be a great way to extend the house and give the buyer even more living area. If you have a deck or a patio, bring in furniture and arrange it to look like a second living room. Bring in nice outdoor pillows, lanterns and pots of flowers to create an inviting living area. Backyards sell!
If you have a pool, make sure that you have it cleaned regularly. A pool can be an asset if it looks like it’s been well kept and cared for. Arrange furniture around it for lounging and enjoyment, even when no one is actually in it.
